Soviet aviation, in its entire existence, suffered half the number of crashes of the US aviation PER ONE YEAR. 800 plus vs 1200 roughly just in 2021 and roughly same in 2022. Considering that USSR was six times the territory of the US, that's darn good results.
Must indeed be miraculous pilots...
Since 1945, Russia has had 539 fatal accidents.
Since 1945 America, with 2.25 times the population of Russia, has had 864 fatal accidents. LINK
In 2021 Russia flew 100M passengers. The USA flew 666M. LINK
The Russian airline system is being destroyed by sanctions and boycotts. Airliners which leave Russia will be confiscated for non-payment since they are not owned by Russia - they are leased. LINK
861 passenger and cargo aircraft are currently in service in Russia, with 332 of them were manufactured by Boeing, and 304 were made by Airbus. Only 136 are Russian-made Sukhoi plane. None of the Boeing and Airbus aircraft are being maintained.
( Hint - what you see above, explains the revival of the old Russian traditions in Sevastopol.)
This is the same event from 2022 ( they hold it yearly.)
"Crimea is Ukraine" - yeah...
One of the biggest jokes ever.
Dan has no idea, what he's talking about.
Extract from history:
Historically, Crimea is not Russian or Ukrainian, but Tatar land, which Russia, as they say, "took on a bayonet" at the end of the 18th century in full accordance with the norms of that time, but contrary to modern international law, which denies the acquisition of territories through war and violence. Russia has been trying to seize the Crimean peninsula for a long time. The most famous are the campaigns of Prince Vasily Golitsyn and Field Marshal Munnich. In the latter case, they even managed to take Bakhchisaray. Each time, the stumbling block was heat and lack of water. The Tatars knew how to find water for people and horses in the steppe, but the Russians did not. To conquer the Crimea, it was necessary, firstly, to create a fleet, and secondly, to inflict a sensitive defeat on Turkey in order to force her to abandon the protectorate over the Crimea. And it happened in 1774. Istanbul renounced the rights to the peninsula, and, 9 years later, in 1783, Crimea officially became part of the Russian Empire.
In 1954, Crimea was administratively assigned to Ukraine, Meaning deedly squat as then, it was ONE country. So it was like moving five bucks from the right pocket into the left pocket same trousers. Owner still the same.
That Ukraine WANTS IT BACK, better to say - Ukraine handlers (US/GB) - is no doubt, as GB wanted to get that strategic control over the Black sea and, according trade routes from the East and oil wells of Caucasus And now, it is, with its nuclear subs docks, dug into mountains, it is even more desired piece of property, to serve one goal - destroy Russia.
Might as well call NM, CA and TX Mexico and return them back, aye, Dane?

Torture the numbers and they'll confess to anything.
Disaster statisticsAeroflot shows that it is one of the safest airlines. And this is achieved primarily by skill, they do not save on pilots, and also because Aeroflot has one of the most modern fleets among all European airlines.
As of the dying Russian aviation.. nope. Not happening. Russian Airbus class plane goes into serial production next year. Sanctions only stabbed import substitution. Also, you keep forgetting one simple fact. "the entire world against Russia" is only 54 countries, only 3 or 5 of them really counting, the rest is just lapdogs. Which means, sanctions are easily bypassed, if needed.
The article analyzes the conditions of the development and economic efficiency of the aircraft industry in Russia under the influence of Western sanctions that have intensified over the past few years. In the article forecasts of the release of new civilian Russian aircraft and components to domestic and international aircraft markets are given, taking into account increasing import substitution and interstate cooperation with China. The author in his work also highlights the issue of international prestige, the possibilities of competition on the world stage with leading states in the aviation industry and maintaining the status of the world aviation power of the Russian Federation.
