And we don't look at the world through the prism of 19th century style nationalist colonialism.

What Russia is doing in Ukraine is monstrous. The people who are defending it are monsters. It is important that those of us arguing on the other side realize that. We are debating this with people who have no moral compass, and who value national glory more than human life. They are so cynical that they believe everybody else sees the world through the same vile prism that they do. You cannot reason with them, you can only defeat them or allow them to consume the more civilized parts of the world.
Yes, that approach failed. The world came very close to WW3 in the process (you know when Cuba decided to allow weapons deployment, in a self defense move ).

For many, many years, all UN members, but two (well, could be three now) vote to condemn the US embargo against Cuba. Yet, it continues.

Moral compass? Vietnam, Chille, Iraq, the list continues for a long time.

I'm not a nationalist, if anything I am an anti-nationalist, so I don't look at the world though that lens. When I say that Russia is engaging in murder on a massive scale and that you and other Russian nationalists are supporting murder on a massive scale I don't say that as an American, I say it as a human being who thinks that murder is wrong.

Using the monstrous acts of others to justify your own monstrous acts just makes you a monster. This is what your whataboutism amounts to.

If you're anti-nationalism, then why don't you support the pro-Russian separatists? Do you think Ukraine has a right to Crimea? Why?

No, I don't support anything like that. I don't support the current invasion , I did not support the 8 year bombing of Donbas civilians, I did not support the violent removal of a president that was elected in fair elections (if corrupt follow procedures) , I did not support the Jan 6th "freedom fighters", I did not support the Iraq invasion that killed 1 million people. I can continue for a long time.

Is it so?
To the people like you I would advise to get off your moral high horse.

"Till the last Ukrainian" - remember?

"We've got a good deal - they fight for our interests, we just pay money."

( That's the "voluntary mobilization" in Ukraine. Till the last Ukrainian. As it has been paid for.)

Fairly sure that video is fake. It gives me fake vibes anyway.
