I've asked before and nobody every responded but WHAT IF we were to have another draft oneday, and a ton of people got out of it by saying they were gay because most young people don't care or have a problem with that "stigma". Would anyone be upset that they got our of goign, or insist that they go and fight too? I'm just curious how, say, another World War might change peoples way of thinking.
An excellent question in fact. Women would be drafted this time as well. Since the "sanctity of marriage" has become almost laughable in today's ammoral society, and with same sex "marriage", I don't suppose marriage would get an exemption anymore, or parenthood since soldiers with children already have to deploy. I imagine the only ones to be exempted would be the usual well-connected Clinton types. It would get interesting, but I don't any politician has the guts to suggest bringing back the draft, even if the country's survival is at stake.

Yeah because Cheney and Dubya served this countries military admirably. Let women get drafted just make sure they serve together, I don't want to be in a fox hole with bullets flying over my dome and getting nagged. lol.
Actually the point is to turn the greatest military force into a social experiment for the sake of politics and political correctness.
These people want are willing to serve their country in the military how do you make the leap to political correctness. The fact is that very few Americans are willing to make the sacrifice, less than 1% of the population and people who would never even think of serving are offering opinions about who can serve.
This can and has worked in other countries so its not really an experiment, almost all the NATO countries. There will be restrictions on fraternization just as there is today between female soldiers.

They already have a problem with meeting their recruitment quotas even to allow non-citizens to enlist, the last thing they need is more restrictions unless some of these keyboard heroes are willing to take the place of some of the gays are non-citizens.
They joined knowing the rules. It was THEIR choice.

They chose to volunteer to risk their lives fighting for a country that treats them as second class citizens.

How much braver and more dedicated does that make the gay and lesbian servicemen who served under DADT?

Seriously, at some point you have to start questioning these people's intelligence! How many times has this been stated and pointed out to them? How many times do they seem to forget? WHY is it so hard for them to comprehend?
