7 posts on what was an obvious targeted hit.

If you want to be scared to leave your house, you will find a way.

I went to Temple and I always laugh about the "violence". "OMG, these college kids were robbed of their 5k sitting in their safe" as though there is a legit reason why college kids are hoarding money in a safe. I think that specific example is Drexel related but my point stands. Doing shady things in nice neighborhoods will still get you shot.

Yeah, but it's still alarming to people who aren't used to shootings in their neighborhood.

Just because you're used to and accepting of a certain type of culture, doesn't mean the rest of us are or have to be.

And I don't know of anybody who's scared to leave their house (at least not anybody on this forum).

Agreed. That was an odd and annoying post from a new poster (shock). This is a crime thread, and its clearly a citywide problem.

But they were targeted so nothing to worry about...

Sometimes "targeted hits" end up with bullets going into houses or hitting bystanders. That is why I don't want even "targeted hits" in my neighborhood or in any of the neighborhoods I frequent.

IE; People that check the Citizens app every hour.

Certain crimes do warrant legitimate fear. The POS serial rapist from last week is a good example since it's a random crime targeting innocent people. I have no problems if someone became a little weary of leaving their house in that situation.

It's the people (often negadelphians) that believe a neighborhood that experienced 1 (targeted) homicide in nearly 10 years is indicative of the entire city going to sh--t and use it to justify why they moved to West Jablip in 1985. These people I have a legitimate problem with since they do nothing but offer empty-destructive criticism, perpetuate outdated Philadelphia stereotypes, and last but not least insert their political BS.
