Philly is listing the new reopening phase today.

It seems like it's Philadelphia policy to say....that's great but we're gonna delay for a month just because we're Philadelphia.

Ths bigger issue than reopening is the depleted police force. I'm afrai of what will happen when we need a full force - cause we're far from having one.

And that's just gonna continue.

This is telling...

"Ed Rendell is endorsing Carlos Vega for Philly DA over incumbent Larry Krasner"

https://www.inquirer.com/politics/el...-20210511.html

Krasner will still win, but likely a competitive race. But a shame 4 more years...

Yea, there is NO reason why Philadelphia cannot reopen with Pennsylvania on May 31. We will find out soon.

Yea, that is not good, but the Progressive crowd doesn't seem to mind, so all is well.

Yea Philadelphia needs to reopen with the rest of Pennsylvania.

At this point it is ridiculous. I am a lifelong Democrat. But the city leadership is absolutely incompetent. Philadelphia needs to follow the state in reopening. The vaccine is available.

Prior to the vaccine not being readily available I understand the restrictions. But now it is just lunacy.

If cases increase, then people can get the vaccine. That simple. You can get it for free in 5 minutes at your local pharmacy if needed with a readily available appointment.

June 11th! With some loosening between now and then.

Should still be May 31, but this is good news, and time for full recovery mode.

I really hate going to SW, and thankful, I don't go out there much unless its to visit relatives since there's hardly anything to do out there. It's always had this feeling that if you aren't from that particular block, then you shouldn't be there. I've yet to feel that same particular vibe anywhere else in the city.
