I read today that Lowes are closing some of their stores. Does anyone know if this affects the one in Selinsgrove?

what? the whole Monroe Marketplace is doing very well and I've literally never heard anyone complain about walking from shop to shop seeing as it was never advertised as a strip mall...

I don't like Monroe Marketplace, it's one of the most uninspired public spaces I've ever experienced outside the burbs. Even the traffic engineering is dreadful, IMO.

However, people will go where the needed and wanted products are, so I shop there too - as rarely as possible.

EDIT: Glad Lowes is staying, it's handy!

Which old train station? The one in Selinsgrove on High Street? Or somewhere else?

Yes the renovation to the train station is in the works. I know the owner/owners and they moving ahead with the progress finally after much anticipation. Any word on the other local shops in town? I heard something about another pizza place (owned by Isabella's/Rocco's) next to IT Express. Subway next to the Post and Lintel? Also, the Tasty Freeze building is underway next to the old "Sox's" building on Market st.

Looks like Sheetz is remodeling. Anybody have info if it's mostly cosmetic or are they expanding the size of the store?

Any new information on some old subjects of Panera Bread, Sonic, Subway to Selinsgrove, or any other businesses opening?

I heard they are building something on or next to the old Sox pool/movie rental place (now a Yamaha dealership?). It's killing me as I heard what it was but can't for the life of me recall it haha!

"Sox pool/movie" place was a originally a Motorcycle Dealership back in the 70's-80's, name escapes me now?
