whew! twas abnormally H-O-T this weekend in pahrump!! 110 on saturday, 105 on sunday. we usually don't see these kind of temps until late july/early august. glad to see we'll be "cooling down" this week, back into normal ~95 degree days
today it is ~93 degrees, with a blowing wind ~10mph, gusting to 23mph. for those of you with a map handy, find homestead rd. go south on homestead, turn west onto thorne rd, & when you almost get to vicki ann rd there is a widespot in the road where you get a better idea of the dry lake bed at the very south end of town. that's where these pictures are taken.
as you can see, there's a whole lotta nuthin out there & with that dry lake bed as your neighbor....imagine all the dust you'll be cleaning outta yer nooks & crannies each day

OK, I just found out that the place on dutch road is the radio station KNYE which Art used to own. His house is on five acres a few miles from the radio station. I found this picture of it but can't find the actual address.

This reads like a bunch of stalkers sharing tips.. Well, I don't plan on knocking on his door, or even driving up into his driveway. Being a fan, I was just curious about where he lived since he was always talking (lovingly) about the town of Pahrump and his home there. He made Pahrump sound like heaven; bragged about it only having one stoplight.
