What part of MA are you located in? After pre-registering with the state, I receive 1 email per week on the state with sign-up options. I've gotten 3 or 4 so far. (Essex county) I didn't schedule any with them however due to proximity to the location I would go to.

It's random as to whether you get given a link or not.

Yep, I was getting those "You're still registered" texts every Sunday until I got the invitation for an appt down in Natick. That's a hike from Newburyport, but since I'd spend almost no effort in getting the appt, I just went with that as the easiest option. I preferred to spend an extra hour driving with certainty to spending several hours polling web sites and wondering with my computer... Your mileage may vary.

I pre-registered on the system on March 12 right around when it went online around. I was not eligible to receive the vaccine until 4/1. I received texts stating I was still pre-registered for 3 weeks and then on April 5 was advised "It's almost your turn. Look for a text tomorrow to book." So I did and was given a choice of the Hynes or a facility in Fall River. I took the Hynes for 4/9.

Default Emergency use drugs

Misunderstanding of Emergency Use drugs...This is a category used when an experimental drug/vaccine performs so well that it would be inhuman and against medical ethics to not stop the experiment protocols and immediately give everyone in the control group the treatment drug (or at least the option to receive it)! When you are causing increased risk of deteriorating health or death in the control group it is unethical to continue the Experiment as originally designed, and FDA will allow the study to be "unblinded" so that the control group can receive restorative or lifesaving treatment.

didn't they have that also with it in NYC with measles in 2019? It seems like we kinda forgot about that before covid.

That sucks. I bet if you waited a week you could get an appointment closer.

Edit: They are at 3.3 million first dose now. Things are slowing a bit but that might be partially due to Monday being a holiday and partially due to some J&J fallout.
