So the governor extended the stay at home advisory to May 4, and by executive order extended the closure of nonessential businesses. The executive order part seems to be different that 2 weeks ago. Anyone know what that legally means?

13 dead at Holyoke Soldier's Home (a full-service, veterans center and hospital in Holyoke).

At least 6 of them are from coronavirus.

So you can't imagine anybody not wanting to brave a packed NY grocery store, and instead wait till they arrive in a "lower risk" zone? Reckless it may be, but people will be people. And you really think all these people are buying gas with an app on their phone, and handling the nozzle with a paper towel? I'm sure some are, but come on now...

Yeah. I think anyone with an expensive vacation home has the critical thought capabilities to pump gas holding the nozzle with a paper towel and use hand sanitizer afterwards. In my town, they're doing curbside pickup. They're not setting foot in stores because they can afford to not need to set foot in stores. They're very aware that there is no such thing as a low risk zone. It's not like any of them were listening to the Trump BS

He just extended the original executive order.

Which, BTW is a stay-at-home advisory, and not an order....yet.

A heartbreaking and dreadful dose of reality. Many of the residents there are veterans of the greatest generation, among other heroes. I can't even.

868 new cases for MA today.

Last 4 days have been consistent 800-1000 cases/day.

How many dead?

Yes I think the USA and MA have hit the more or less peak of cases. Last four or so days in the USA has been about the same.

It's not even close to the peak for the total US.

About 50% of current cases are in NY/NJ alone distorting the count. This is compounded by a lot of the other states being on the very low end of their growth curves so the total incremental growth appears low for now - wait 2-3 weeks.
