Normally my high elevation neighborhood in North Granby gets hammered with snow when everyone else gets a dusting and/or rain.

This year we got hardly anything. The last storm was maybe 4 to 5 inches but it blew right off the lawn into the woods.

Today there isn't much either. Maybe 4 or 5 inches. Two years ago we'd get 12 to 20 inches several times.

I frequently visit the Sunapee area of New Hampshire. Usually by this time of the year there is a solid 3 feet of compacted snow on the ground. There's barely a few inches and nothing new in nearly two weeks. The snowmobilers are just watching the winter go by with no opportunities to ride.

It's a weird winter.

Whoa, holy crap! What did I miss? We have about .0001" on the ground in Manchester! I was out cutting and splitting wood all day...sun was out most of the time.

Western CT was a nightmare today, to say the least. Once I got to Branford it was a little better, but from Orange up to Oxford, it was awful. It was a combination of snow falling at 2-3" per hour, and gridlock traffic.

Yea I'm picking up on that!

It's just started really coming down here.

Hmmm...Last time this happened, was Feb of 01. I was cruising around Meriden on a 230hp snowmachine...bumped into my atty and an off duty cop out on theirs.

LOL...Hartford county just upgraded by NWS to Winter Storm Warning, just as snow is about to end!

Looks like about 4-5" fluffy inches in my driveway...probably a lot less impressive after compaction tomorrow.

Dr. Mel this morning said Newtown got 12" of snow, and that's about what I thought. Eastern Ct. is supposed to get snow later today, I hope it does stay east of FFC. This on top of the snow we already had on the ground is too much of a "good" thing. Cambium, considering we weren't supposed to be getting much snow in January, you must be delighted.

A.B.S.O.U.T.E.L.Y. And I love preparing people many days before. Knowing people are safe because of my foresight is priceless.

Waking up to a scenery of Vermont is also priceless. Anyone catch the sunrise? Priceless again.
