6 inches here in North Haven.

But you can't expect anything else, we're the ones who got FIFTY-SEVEN FREAKING FEET OF ICE last year.

If I had a home that was 2 acres big..on a 5 acre property, with a heated, self-cleaning glass bubble rooftop over the middle, which happened to be a self-contained eco-pod indoor park and garden, and had unlimited money to support this whole thing...

I'd still rather live in Albequerque.

Did you know they issued a warning 2 hours before it ended? They must have saw the heavy band that setup and dropped an inch an hour.

Some totals from before. The half foot marks should tell you where the heavy band setup.

Yep, noted it on the last page of this thread....

They only upped it to a warning for LI and southern CT.

Wow! Definetly blew out mine and everyones expectations. My 6" melted to .45" of water. That means it was 13:1 ratios. The areas that saw over 6" had extremely high ratios because there wasnt a lot of liquid from the system.

Totals are impressive with up to a foot in parts of CT, RI and coastal MA.

I had to work on Sat, so I didn't get to really look around until late yesterday. We got about 4 to 7 inches here along the southeast coast. I have to admit, the bamboo really looks cool in the snow

Now the issue turns to flooding...this has me concerned greatly. On Monday by mid day, the souherly flow will strengthen, and warm air will flood into the Middle Atlantic and Tri-State area. NYC/coastal CT might see 50 - 52 F, while most of Connecticut will see upper 40's. Worse, as Monday night comes, fog and heavy rain will combine with warm temps. Fog and rain melts snow very rapidly. I would not be suprised to see flooding by Tuesday. Skies should clear by Tuesday, with continued 50 F temps and sunshine. So snow fans should get out and enjoy the snowcover....while it lasts. By Tuesday it will be 50 F in our area and maybe 65 F in North Carolina

Here is the latest NWS forecast for this week.

Monday: A chance of drizzle, then rain, mainly after 1pm. Areas of fog after 1pm. High near 48. East wind between 6 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Monday Night: Rain, mainly before 1am. Areas of fog before 1am. Low around 39. South wind between 10 and 13 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 50.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 43.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 42.

Friday: A chance of showers early. Mostly sunny, with a high near 43.

Yup, frosty thecsnowman would not like the weather starting tonight..he is safe for today. Snow on rooftops and roads should be short-lived from this storm, snow and 40's don't get along too well. Usually January is the worst of it, and as days keep getting longer now, etc, with nothing substantial forecast for the next 10 days, safe to say we have zero chance of a repeat of last winters fiasco?? I'm sure we will get some more measurable snow but this winter, like last winter, has been an anomaly so far
