Wallingford on my street is definitely over a foot. Heading out shortly to get to work on the driveway.

You were walking right? Not driving? Those look downright impassible.....

Maybe combine that with the bitter cold and it being a Friday and maybe there'll be another snow day tomorrow.

They didn't have all these models where they speculate days before. But I think the unexpected nature of it made it harder to cleanup. I remember having 3 days off from school (I grew up just north of NYC in southernmost Westchester County) and vaguely remember even NYC itself (which back then really really never closed) closing for at least 2 days.

Schools already canceling. Between temps and clean up will be rough I guess.

Can we didn’t get 17” unless you measure drifts. 10-11” in Wilton. Just drove home in it. Metro north full schedule and on time.

Driving of course 😊 however I was stopped to take pictures.... I saw two cars on the road my whole time. Had fresh snow tires on. Made it no sweat, didn't go much more than 20 mph though

I don't remember if it was channel 2 or 7 but one of them noted that it will be so cold that salt won't work and because of outer boro backroads they suggested even NYC should close schools tomorrow.

Nice picture by the way....
What a winter wonderland this will be for 3 days ..a foot of snow and not an ounce will melt. Very rare.

In fact..are we possibly looking at longest snow pack days in a row records a bit down the line? Even though it was only a couple inches we haven't seen any grass for a good stretch already.
