The snow plows are excellent in my area. I shoveled a little. I could lose a dog in this stuff. I have to carry her out and place her down under the deck. And there's still some drifting that ended up under there.

I'm okay with bundling up and getting outside. The dogs can't tolerate it but I'll try to get out tomorrow...in the sub-zero wind chill. Glad I'm not working. I'm just stressed about flying (or not) to Washington. Their ice storm starts tonight. joy

I have 15" in a couple of spots in the driveway. Never even shoveled up to the front door. Big deal, I won't get mail for another day.

Need to measure on the deck tomorrow, one of my levels had snow level with the next higher level but I was too cold to get the ruler out.

We saw a huge flash as well, but never heard thunder or the boom of a blown transformer.

Think the snow stopped between 5-6pm

They finally joined the party.

A lot of Westchester districts are doing something weird. They are having delays (but some have closed) but telling parents they may call back early tomorrow morning to change it to a.closure.

just drove home from a friends house, took about 40 mins, main roads were just wet with salt, back roads were pretty awful. Surprised about the mass closings, but thankful!!

Long range weather forecast I saw anything can change

I see more snow Monday night into Tuesday January 11 to 13th with high temperature in 40's with chance of rain, ice, snow. Beyond January 13th temperature in 30's to 40's with low temps in teens. In February there some chance of snow and another blast of winter but there break in weather at end of month with temperature reaching near 50 going into first week of March.

You won't see 50 degrees till first week of March
