It feels like January, but the amount of green trees ruins the moment. Its like a sort of twiligt zone where contradictory body senses can’t figure out what’s real. The skin freezes, but the eyes see so much green. What to believe??!!!

Lol. Disagree about this not being pleasent. Agree about looking confused.

Wonder how the green leaves will react to the hard freeze tonight. I should of took some closeup before shots.

confused? That was a wink...as in you may like a cold windy day but most don't find the same appreciation. Now a 28 degree day right before a heavy snow when the wind is calm and the sky is gray? ? Yes...That is pleasant.

Loving this cold. Was just outside earlier gathering up some firewood and the air felt great. Plan to be outside tomorrow finishing up yard work all day in it as well.

Look where this air mass came from. Straight down from the North Pole!

Been meaning to grab that. Thanks! "IF" the pattern being shown after next week happens it will be similar to Nov-Dec 2010. Could get real interesting with prolonged cold and snowy days? We'll see.

No, was referring to Antonio's post. Agree on looking confused outside with the green leaves and sub freezing temps

How about now... Dews have dropped more. 2°F here now. WOW!

Miami = Nuts. That must be some high ratio snows in Minnesota. Wow

I still have a few flower bulbs to plant. The ground won't freeze right away so I think I'll wait a few days--maybe it's going to warm up a little bit?

Today, as far as I was concerned, it was the wind more than the cold. But I didn't go out until it warmed up!

The wind has sure set in. Here in Torrington it's windy as all heck and it just blows through you. Only walked a short distance and I was frozen.
