Ugh. I was really looking forward to a nice Spring this year. Spring has been mostly nonexistent. Temperatures are finally decent but its already getting humid. Nice temps to have windows open, finally, but unfortunately that means bringing in all the damp humid air into your house .

Cam: How much rain should we expect from the remnants of Anna on Tuesday. I've got my fingers crossed for at least an inch... probably just wishful thinking.

Any stats out there on how unusual an event this tropical storm is in early may?

Yeah, not looking good for rain anymore. Only chance is with a pop up thunderstorm & who knows where that will be.

There's a cool site that shows tropical systems by date. Will post later on today. Not many in May I assume.

Summer morning

Can you feel it?

Current Dew points well above normal for this time of year. With air temp in the 60s its obviously not as bad as air temp in the 80s...But it is MORNING.

Dewpoint here: 63°
Air Temp: 66°
Cloudy

Not bad actually. I don't mind this at all.

One of the warmest starts to May for many. Here's Hartford and Buffalo for May 1-10 period.

Normal is 53.5°F at BUF so they +11.4 above norm! !

BDL is 9.2 above normal. Should of been mid 50s but ended up mid 60s. These numbers are locked in since its for the period we already finished.

So in other words, only 1 year out of 110 yrs on record had a warmer start (or 1st half) to May. That 1930 looks odd.

This is what the 2nd warmest first 11 days of May looks like in Hartford. Only 1 of 110yrs was warmer. Nuts.

Another upper 80s day today and a July morning. Month Avg departure should be above 10 now.

I wasn't screaming "GET THE PLANTS READY" for nothing. But enough is enough now.
