Well thank you Summer... Transplanting 1-2 weeks early this year

Tomato and Cucumber roots

Don't forget to plant tomatoes deep and take bottom leaves off. The fuzzy things on the stem are roots so don't be scared to go all the way to 2nd branch up.

April 27th this year

This year has been piece of cake! Between models consistent showing the warmth and the dryness, its been easy to get them used to the outdoors. Now they need to toughen up in the big boy soil. LOL

Yup, less than an inch next 7 days for CT. Should come on Tuesday.

Period of April 23 to May 8th this year is the driest on record for BDR with just a Trace

And BDL as well.

Concord 2nd with .03"

Providence 4th with .06"

Northern New England will receive a bit more, but it is extremely dry. Wildfire danger has been very high with the red flag warnings issued in the last week. I think I recall this type of pattern occurring before within the last 5 years as well, meaning all the snow melted (at a later date) and then hardly any precipitation fell for a long time afterwards.

BDL now at 88°. Westfield, MA at 89°.

Torch-o-Rama

Forecasts couple days ago were for 70s and we're easily hitting 80s. That's a dry ground for ya. No moisture being evaporated to cool the air a bit so it's easier to heat up.

Groton struggling past 50s. Back door cold front slipping in but Long island is because of the waters I believe.

This is the love part of being near the coast and not on the interior.

Dewpoints in the 50s so you can feel the air getting a bit more muggy now.

LOL. I just can't take the readings there seriously..

I love living right near the shoreline. The seabreezes have been amazing. Have not hit 80 here yet. The nighttime temps have been great.
