2 very cold nights coming up. Tonight & Friday night. Even though around 40° for me I'll probably protect the peppers for tonight

And here's the current Alert map. Freeze and Frost Alerts are out. I will update if extended out

I'm sick of this chill! I don't want September/October...I want July, damn it! Ha ha!

OK...it made the burden of mowing my lawn less earlier, but still...

Oh you'll get it next week.

NWS talks about the clouds tonight.

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NEW YORK NY
728 PM EDT WED MAY 20 2015

.NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 AM THURSDAY MORNING/...

ZONAL FLOW ALOFT OVERNIGHT...WILL BRING IN MAINLY HIGH CLOUDS FROM
THE OHIO VALLEY TO REPLACE CURRENT STRATO-CUMULUS OVER MOST OF THE
REGION. THEN WILL HAVE SOME MID CLOUDS MOVE IN FROM THE SW LATE
AHEAD OF DEVELOPING LOW PRESSURE OVER THE CENTRAL APPALACHIANS.

QUESTION IS HOW MUCH IMPACT WILL THE CIRRUS THEN MID CLOUDS HAVE
ON LOW TEMPERATURES. BECAUSE OF THE CIRRUS DID NOT UNDER CUT A
BLEND OF MAV/MET/ECS GUIDANCE IN NORMALLY COOLER AREAS. ALSO DID
NOT INTRODUCE FROST DUE TO UNCERTAINTY IN EXTENT/AMOUNT OF
RADIATIONAL COOLING AS WELL

Man are we lucky up this way. Whether its for season changes or never having prolonged heat and humidity like the south.

I mean seriously... how the heck do they do it? It's not just 4 months either..

I looked at the Dew points at lunch time and saw widespread 70s. Shook my head and didn't want to keep looking.. Looked at it again right now, still there. lol. And temps are in the 70s/80s at 10:30pm.

Half the year is warm/hot and muggy. At least we get warm dry days up here.

Dewpoints

But on that note.. Summer is coming... are you ready??? next week and possibly for 1 week+ and maybe till September. Who knows.

With next weeks heat, chances are very high we finish May in Top 10 warmest at
BDL, BDR, PVD, ALB, BTV, CON, SYR, NYC, ISP, ORH, BGM

Some are in the Top 3 already! including BDL

Here's EURO00z temps & dewpoints for Wednesday next week. Ouch.

80s and 90s with DPs in 60s/70s. Summer is back.

For New England, Good to note GFS is hotter than Euro for Tuesday. GFS has 3 days of heat Tues to Friday. Euro has 4 Wed to Saturday. 80s and muggy.

Either way.. looks like Summer next week with warm/hot & humidity rising

My brother has a house in Florida just for the Winters, and a house in Westchester for the Summer......now he wants to buy a house in North Carolina.....guess he wants to just stay ahead of the humidity as it moves North.

Smart thinking!! Buddy of mine is in Florida this past week and he's just miserable but him and his family wanted to do the touristy thing of the theme parks. Ugh. What an excuse. Go in the winter if you have to. But at least its temporary and he's coming back. Living there?? I'll never figure out.

its no wonder why they need pools down there. But either you're a prune or your a hermit.
