Is this thing coming further north than expected? Friends in central NJ said they're getting more than forecasted.

Yeah, precip sheild expanded north. Upton raised long island to 3-4" now. Don't see this being big deal for us. Not a lot of moisture around.

Another 1.5" in the books. Almost done. Backedge is in NJ. I'll probably end up with 2"

Light snow on Thursday
Possible Snowstorm on Saturday night
Snow again next Tuesday
Snow again weekend after

And oh... NO END IN SIGHT to the Cold temps. Amazing.

We actually get colder at the end of this week and again mid next week. After that we wont see these sub zero/single digit temps again (I assume) but we stay below freezing.

Heads up on the roadways.......I left at 5:40 on Merritt and it was snow covered and slippery. 25-40 mph in a few areas. I noticed a lot of SUV drivers driving like they were invincible as usual. Be careful.
31 more days until Spring thankfully.

None of the last 30 winters on record at Islip Long Island has had this Long a stretch of 9"+ snowpack. 21 days in a row with 9" of snow or more on the ground. Wow!

2nd longest 10"+ snowpack for coastal CT, 15 days in a row with 11" or more. Wow!

Sunny today and again staying below 22°. Wow!

Only 7 of last 42 days have been above normal. Wow!

Where oh where are our normal average temps? In just a couple days the normal high is supposed to be 40 and just a couple weeks it's (supposed to be) mid-40's!

Ack!
