A friend of mine who lives in Raleigh, NC told me they just said on the 6pm news the predicted high for Thursday there is 17 and it would be the coldest high for ANY day in over 100 years! They are also giving a 50% chance of a subzero low there on Friday morning, it would be the latest in the winter they ever had one (my friend says the TV claimed the last subzero there period was on Jan 21, 1985 but he's not sure if its correct)
Is it me or are those bands on radar down around maryland going more northeast than east?

Was skiing in VT this weekend. Friday had a low of -13 and a high of -5. That's about the coldest temps I've ever seen. Until this morning. Wake up was -21 and warmed up to -8 by the time I headed home at 10:30.

No big deal tomorrow but with these cold temps might make 1-2" slippery.

Hope you had fun... so many people I know are skiing or doing winter sports lately. Yeah, we all experienced temps we pretty much haven't felt either all our life or in a long time. Pretty amazing. Hope everyone got outside to feel it.

It's so cool you're keeping up with the Plumes. Soon you'll be able to keep a track record on them. . You'll find out one storm they do great, another they do horrible. Thanks for staying on top of it. Keep us posted!

Radar loop with storm reports past 12hrs. 8am-8pm 2-16-15.

4-12" of snow dropped and take note of the ice reports.. It's a flat pattern and why it's staying to our south.

So big snows going to our north then big snows going to our south. Last time I got more than 1.5" of snow was February 2nd. What winter? LOL

Come on with these little events here. And more insane is that I've had a 10-12" snowpack for more days/weeks then I can remember.

Snow Total forecast from 3 NWS offices.

8-14" to fall in Virginia and Delaware now through tomorrow afternoon. 4-8" Southern NJ.
