Not directly Greenville related, but could possibly affect a minor league baseball team ever locating to Greenville. Kinston may be getting a new team in 2016...
IMO, when Kinston lost the Indians, it was Greenville's chance to get a minor league team. I know it's still a part of the Dickinson corridor plan posted many moons ago, but a Coastal Plains team may be the only thing we can get from now on if this does happen.
I drove down Memorial today and they are clearing land across from Chick fil A beside the Dollar Tree with a sign saying the new BBQ place would go there.

I'd love to see a nice Japanese / sushi place or "Asian fusion" spot downtown.
Lots of interesting stuff in there. I found a new commercial development called Parkside Bluffs. It would be created on the opposite side of 10th street across from the new Walmart.
Now, i'm not sure if there are already businesses in this development, but looks like it could be an area to watch.
