That is an awesome sight. I hope a few more building come down so that whole area can be built back up with purpose and planning.

What's being done on Evans Street opposite the end of Deck Street? There's a bunch of that earth barrier up like some bulldozing is about to happen.

Apple Maps has its own take on what is considered Uptown and Downtown Greenville.

I suppose this means that Jimmy John's is "Midtown"?

The Community Smith project on Dickinson Ave is really ramped up now. Is it correct that Longleaf Brewery is going in there?

Anyone know anything about the bids and construction start dates for the 10th St Connector...seems it was supposed to break ground already? Was there a holdup on the acquisition side (which at one point was ahead of schedule)?

HP, Longleaf is going in the spot you're talking about. Also the folks that own Christi's Euro Pub are opening a restaurant/bar right beside the brewery called Dickinson Avenue Public House. I believe they'll be working closely with the brewery to bring their beer in and the brewery will allow food from the Pub into the brewery. great idea, IMO.

Here are some updated pics they posted on FB:

Haven't heard much new from the 10th street connector. Maybe they were waiting to demo the Beach Bingo place? Now that it's out of the way, hopefully they can start working on it.

Well yes. But there is obvious progress going on now. Which means we are closer to it being open, than not.
