This is something I greatly miss to be honest (though 32 degrees in October isn't all too common...usually those temperatures don't come until November). I know it's not for everyone, but I greatly miss chilly fall days & nights. I much prefer it to the fall temperatures of warmer climates. Bundling up with a fleece and a strong pumpkin beer while watching football...that's what dreams are made of haha.
Nah not me. First, I don't like pumpkin beer. And second, I've realized over the years that it's those very cool mornings and evenings that cause people to start getting sick. Too many times I went out with a wet head in the morning in mid october and got sick growing up.
Summer and fall weather in the northeast is just something for those people to celebrate before the winter comes and people start to hate their lives on a regular basis. I laugh it up how you can go to the beach in LA when it's mid October and in the northeast people are already starting to experience cold fronts

For a lot of people, October is the ideal time of year. The highs in mid October are in the mid to low 60s. That's not exactly my cup of tea, as I enjoy outdoor swimming, but it's not so bad.
Somewhere like Miami would also be ideal since you can swim outdoors for most of the year.
October in SoCal isn't what I would call "ideal". You can get some pretty nasty Santa Ana winds inland and in the mountains, blistering heat even at the coast (doesn't last more than a few days though), and then of course that's when the worst and most catastrophic wildfires can and have occurred. Yeah overall most days are nice but Oct is probably one of, if not the, most volatile month for extreme heat and wildfires in SoCal.

I hadn't noticed that it gets any hotter in October, and certainly not "blistering" heat. I'll keep it mind though and see if I notice any temperature spike this Oct.

Usually that's September but hey, remember about a month ago we had about four 100 degree days in the middle of May? That was brutal!

September and October usually get the hottest temps of the year in Southern CA, at least in the coastal zones.

Definitely not blistering. The months it usually gets the hottest in SoCal are July, August and September.

Beautiful, but we all know it looks like that for like 4 hours in the early morning after a snowfall. So like, 48 hours total all year?
It quickly becomes mounds of exhaust-colored mush full of cigarette butts and pushed off to the side of the road. That's what 90 percent of winter looks like.
