My wife decided to retire, so we have more options. We have a condo in South Florida and I could put up with that area for a few years, some relatives and friends in the Gainesville FL area. Some very close relatives in the Caribbean who want me to go out for a few months, possibly longer. We also have some relatives in Europe, but would not move there. My wife does not want to move, so at this point probably stay here and do some traveling. Our families are a bit scattered...

Default Looking to relocate

My family and I are looking at ABQ as a place to live. What are the good areas for families to live (low crime, easy public trans access)?
Appreciate any input.

For a 50-something like myself who loves hiking and other outdoor things and otherwise local arts/performing arts events, there is more than enough to do here! I haven't time to do it all. Also appreciate the genuine friendliness of people. Now that I've grown to like being back here, will probably have to leave because the pay for jobs in my field is so low here that I can't afford to stay.

This is the edge of a large dessert, and there is a huge amount of stuff to do for everyone whether young, old, or in between. I can't really dispute the lack of progressive since it's such a vague statement....

How is progressive a vague statement?

Progressive= people adapting to change and a better future

New mexico doesnt want change, and when it does it takes forever.

And their might be a lot of outdoor acitivites, for younger crowds.

But it's a quiet place, some people enjoy the fun and excitement of different places

Progressive - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Progressivism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Progressivism is an umbrella term for a political ideology advocating or favoring social, political, and economic reform or changes and opposition to conservative or reactionary ideologies."

The term "progressive" is today often used in place of "liberal.

Progressivism in the United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Progressivism in the United States is a broadly based reform movement that reached its height early in the 20th century and is generally considered to be middle class and reformist in nature.

But thanks for taking the time to clear up what you meant. I mean adapting to change and 'better futures' isn't vague or subjective at all. [/sarcasm]
