New Mexico State Fair. September 7, 2008. The annual state fair held September at Expo New Mexico (formerly the New Mexico State Fairgrounds) in the city of Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. The event features concerts, competitions, rodeos, carnival rides, games, farm animals, horses, agriculture and art.

Worth going to. There are some deals available for discount tickets, especially the rides which can be expensive. It's hard to see everything in one day. It's also difficult to figure out what is happening and where etc, even with the schedule and maps.

Rich

Lot of screaming from two people comes out of this steel ball bouncing around on a giant
rubber band.

Petting zoo. It's popular, it's free (but you got to buy some feed).

Your basic pony ride. Great for the younger kids.

Back in the stable area. Various events occur back in this area, the arena has some
good events.

I'm not sure I want a toe ring....

Not too crowded. Good place to watch people.....

This Ferris Wheel car seats four people.

A ride designed to make you dizzy. Great stuff.

The Snake Girl. It was taken down. But you have to have these. My wife and Grand Kids
ask me if it was real. I said of course and I paid the $1.00 per person so they could see
the Snake Girl.

See? Thats people spinning around screaming and breaking their eardrums with the
music. It's just great!

Pretty neat scare machine that unwinds, goes up, spins etc. It creates a fair amount of
screams....

Well, there are some surprised people....

My grandson wanted to go on that ball ride. I said yea right, 4 yrs old and he wants to go on something that I got scared just seeing in action.
But, this is the same little boy that wanted our plane to go higher than 34k feet when we flew out here.
