I measured around a quarter of an inch of wintry mix accumulation this morning. A few inches of snow not that far to my north...

Never made it past 37F today. Hard freeze warning tonight with forecast low of 23F. Haven’t had a hard freeze since November 2019.

It does not look that cold to me on the picture.
That is a long video, if you check hours into it, there was snow cover, including on the roads

We got a dumping of snow last Wednesday, about 7" overnight. As of this morning, almost a week later, it's all still here. The forecast every single day since then has been a huge bust. We haven't gotten near the forecasted highs, sometimes as much a 10-15 degrees below.

Today's forecast says sunny and 48f, which if true will finally melt the snow.

We'll have to wait for the last week of January to see a significant pattern change if the models are right

The one major problem with the cold predicted for later January is that the PNA is forecasted to move back into solidly negative territory (SE ridge could be an issue), yet again #$%# We can't catch a break, even with the NAO and AO staying negative.

And way above average the northern 1/2 of the country, seems more like a strong La Nina than a moderate one.

Cold rain yesterday. Taken all day for clouds to clear up today. Was supposed to clear up quickly but like last week it was very stubborn. In fact even at 5 there are still plenty of low clouds.

Getting tired of winter, ready for my trip to the FL Keys. We aren't getting any real cold blasts but no real mild or even warm days.
