Some insane lows this morning just a little bit inland from Milwaukee, managed to get down to -9 here. I'm thinking it'll drop down to around -21 here now.

Chicago sure seems to be ground zero for this outbreak. Places north, south, east, and west do not seem to be touching extremes to the same extent. Coldest temperature forecast in Winnipeg is -31°F; that's cold but not exceptional for Winnipeg. Coldest temperature I can see forecast for Minneapolis is -23°F, i.e. no colder than Chicago and almost 20 degrees above the all-time low. Coldest temperature forecast for Toronto is a relatively balmy -4°F whilst St. Louis will bottom out at no worse 0°F.
