44F here this AM. No true cold coming anytime soon. But Tampa got down to 29f back on March 3rd 1980 back when we had real winters.

Euro00z says NYC stays in the single digits (F°) Monday.

Note the 5000' temps go above freezing during the storm. Ice, Sleet, Cold rain after the snow at onset.

Some patchy freezing drizzle this morning. It seems worse well north and east of the Indianapolis area. Temperatures here were hovering around 33 degrees and I didn't encounter any ice on my way to work. So we seem to be just missing it. Tomorrow could see some light snow in the morning, maybe up to an inch before it transitions to rain but once again, temperatures will be hovering right around 31-32 degrees so right on the edge. Then of course the big storm this weekend. We're so close to the rain/snow line that we could really see anywhere from 2-8 inches at this point.

Tampa got down to 29°F last winter for that matter.

Some Palm Trees froze last winter in Tampa. Fact, and I can prove this.

Philly's forecast for Saturday-Sunday is as complex and you get.

Rain 1-4pm
Snow 4-7pm
Rain & Snow 7pm-1am
Rain after 1am
Snow after 1pm

Lucky there's no ice in there like points north

Well looks like the cold won't be as cold as they thought. Was going to be -5 in KC on Saturday night but now only 5. AFC Championship game will still be very cold in the single digits or teens. I've been to that stadium, all of the seats under the overhang are heated by radiant heaters the only areas unheated are the exposed seats. Will be in the 40's in New Orleans with a strong wind for the NFC Championship game so tailgating will be cold but Superdome will be 72 degrees inside so cozy in there for the fans.

Was going to be in the upper 20's in Austin but now only 33 predicted. Funny that the only freezing weather we received was late November and early December. Most of December was overcast and cold but the overcast prevented any record breaking temps. It did keep the highs down though. January has been mostly below average and overcast but again no record breaking cold.

Looks like the latest models back off the cold early next week. Savannah's forecast low Monday morning is now just 32 F. Yesterday morning had that forecast low at 25 F.

Also, Atlanta, Charlotte, and Birmingham are now forecast in the 20s instead of teens.
