Last time we had a high below 70 F was in February. March 21st had a high of exactly 70 F. Unlikely to have a high below 70 F until probably November or December.

That's so crazy I needed to Google it because I had a hard time understanding what that meant.
Canadian12z loves that Subtropical place of Philly. Snow this weekend? GFS looks wintry too. This is crazy. Where was this pattern in December and January!!!!??????????
Today we saw a similarly cold low to yesterday: 25.5°F (-3.6°C), which is seven degrees Fahrenheit below our average. However, today's high has actually been better than the meteorologists predicted - it's 46.2°F (7.9°C) and according to my PWS it made it up to 49°F (9°C), which is pretty close to our average. (InaccuWeather says it's only 37°F [3°C] right now though, so who knows how much of our 49 was actually solar heating. )
The snow that we were promised today has not happened yet, but it looks like there's going to be some pretty good rain and snow coming in a couple of hours, looking at the radar. Let's hope the snow stays to our north and that we just get rain from this.
An Impressive dig south of the cold airmass in the Northeast. The -10°C at the Mid Levels dropped south to Virginia. That's the furthest south than anywhere else in the entire Northern Hemisphere. lol
I see this happen A LOT. Gotta love the ability for cold air to travel over land or snow.
Exactly! You might see it over China, but seems spring comes on strong there vs here. They get that in winter, but the anomalies are lower given the colder averages. We win the prize every year for most freakishly negative temp anomalies. We win that prize just about year after year.
Funny how you would think big oceans on either side of a place would warm it or moderate it in winter. Au contraire, it is quite the opposite. Central Asia with nothing but land around it is actually warmer in winter. Go figure. North America geography and climate fail.

I'm pretty sure we have had snow before in April, though it is pretty rare. But anything is possible since 2013 and the massive change in our weather.

Its absolute bs, welcome to North America. See the Aztecs and the Mayans and the Olmecs were smart, they stayed south of the Rio Grande and that's how they became so powerful

This is sickening. There is no such thing as a geography or climate fail. Its a cold blast, extremely rare for these kind of temps to happen, it happens every now and then yeah but rarely, so no need to get worked up imo. Its stressing me out worrying about what will happen, Bermuda grass is fairly green now, myrtles are leafing, and these tend to be the last things that green up as they are sensitive. I am worried about what will happen to them, but I cant let this stuff interfere in my life, its a very trivial matter as I have no control over any type of weather, only thing I can control is how I feel. Also on accuweather, it is still an outlier, virtually every other weather outlet is showing lows between 31-34 for tonight, yet accuweather Is keen on it being 27 tonight.
