KPIT itself is barely east of the centre of the high pressure 1,041-mb high and was as of the 03:00 update still at 3F. The forecast of 1 below would just tie the daily record from 1934; the forecast once called for 6 below. Must have been that melt on Wednesday due to partly cloudy skies and a high of 33F

Well as of 4 am the KIND weather obs site was at 7 Degrees F, if the temperature does not fall another 5 Degrees by daybreak, then the record low temperature of 2 Degrees F would remain unbeaten from the year 1993. The Local forecast once called for a low of -5 F a couple of days ago in Indianapolis, the forecast low temperature as of last night was for a low of 1 Degree F above zero which would still break the previous record of 2 Degrees F set in 1993. Will be interesting to see if Indianapolis ties or breaks that record, or not.

Single digits again here?? Damn!!! Nuts. Feels like I'm in Vermont lately. Current temps

I'm at my low of 7.9°F. Lets see if it dips more even with the sun coming up.

While February is done, I figure I post this to show the Arctic air isn't, and maybe more snow Friday too.

NWS Boston being funny in their message

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TAUNTON MA

SUNDAY INTO MONDAY...

WHILE ASTRONOMICAL SPRING ARRIVES LATE THIS FRIDAY...THE UPPER
LEVELS DID NOT GET THAT MEMO. THE ENERGY DIVING OUT OF THE HUDSON
BAY AREA WILL PUSH A FAIRLY ROBUST ARCTIC FRONT ACROSS OUR REGION
EARLY SUNDAY MORNING...WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF SOME SHOWERS/SNOWS
AS IT MOVES THROUGH. UNSEASONABLY COLD AIR LOOKS TO MAKE A RETURN
TO THE REGION FOR EARLY NEXT WEEK FOLLOWING THIS FRONT.

I seriously hope soon! This certainly isn't an ordinary winter, I think this is the first time ever that I haven't been able to wear a sweater in March

lol... not anytime soon.

As we kept saying weeks ago, while the air wont be near 0°F like in Jan-Feb with the Arctic blasts, it will be cold for March...and April...... and here we are. Struggling past 30s here and dropping to teens.

To be honest... I see this lasting another 2 weeks at least with some pops into the 40s. No 50s NYC north until April maybe.. And if the pattern continues in April at least the "arctic" air will mean 40s/50s instead of 20s/30s. Another beachless Spring?

There.... I said it... now watch 50s and 60s and 70s come. Thank me later. LOL
