The western ridge is breaking down and the jet stream is loosening north. Say hello to warmer temps soon..It was a fun month to experience for sure

We stay cold for another few days. Moderate next week (but still below normal) then possible another blast of cold but they'll getting shorter and less intense now with the season change.

Snow for northeast Sunday-monday

Snow to rain Tues-Wed

IMO... If you have over 7" of snow outside, north of NYC, you will have snow on the ground till mid March. I don't think the "warmup" or rains will melt it all and its not like we'll be sunny everyday.

However, fog is the wild card and that typically eats the snow away faster then the sun.

I don't see many 40s in the pictures nor do I see many 30s even for here.. Latest GFS says only 2 days above freezing next 10 days. We'll see

I see one more below-zero forecast Friday night. Might that be the last of it, or might get back again. Either way, I'm beginning to see the light…

Yeah, below zeros gonna be tough now. Single digits will even be less of.

Less than 1/2" but more than 1/4" liquid so probably 3-5" snow for us is a safe bet right now.

Gfs has a snowstorm around March 9th And that's around the time of the next arctic shot.

Pattern stays stormy but jet stream starting to weaken and vortex lift north and airmass not as deep. We'll see

Speaking of sub zero temperatures, Indianapolis is due to see the latest sub zero temperatures since 1984, when there was a morning low temperature of -1 Degrees F on March 9th that year, this year Indianapolis will have sub zero low temperatures for Friday and Saturday Mornings with record cold probable for Saturday Morning since the record low for the date is 2 above zero set 22 years ago in 1993. Forecasters are predicting, depending on where that pesky rain/snow line sets up that snowfall totals could range from as little as 2 to as much as 5 inches of snowfall here for Saturday Night through Sunday Night.

Can't speak for everyone but Saturday morning should be the coldest morning till next winter. At least for this area. I don't think we'll see single digits anymore. I lost count and that's just so crazy to say.

Here's what NAM has for Saturday morning lows.

I would gladly exchange! the 30s,40s,and 50s we had for lows here last week were somewhat acceptable however a low of 74 in february is beyond my worst nightmare! Especially considering we have not had a low in the 70,s for over a month.
