Yup, posted in the storm thread. Mine is 21:1 ratios. Another rare coastal fluff snowfalls. It wasn't even compacting it was so feathery

1.5" melted to less than 1/10th liquid

Roads are slick but everyone out and on them. Just driving slow

Watertown, NY hit -36F yesterday morning (third time below -30F this season!).

Saranac Lake, NY hit -30F this morning (first time this season!).

Wow, cool. I drove through Watertown a few times on I-81 to and from Canada.

Got about six inches of snow here. Looks very pretty outside now.

Great lakes are close to 80% ice cover, I think we'll reach the level of last year (90%) next week with the cold front ... and maybe break a record

I don't want to get into a global warming but that's terrible logic. It's called global warming not eastern US warming. The only part of the globe that's record large below average anamolies is the eastern US and a small patch of Russia. The world on average has been a bit above average this month.

More? Yup...

Here comes the next one... -20C & colder airmass aloft will drop into the U.S again and this time getting to NC.

That's a LARGE area of -25C and colder in Canada already getting into Minnesota. Daytime struggling past 0°F there.

It's below freezing at 4500' down to Texas & northern Gulf States.

Huge trough in the U.S. 520 Dam over Chicago. 550 down to Dallas. (590 Dam is torching hot temps, 570 is warm, 520 is very cold)

Enjoy this next Arctic blast... I seriously doubt we'll see these low/max temps again until next year if anything.

So this will be the last "deepest" cold air we get.

But we won't be done with below normal temps and below freezing temps at all. I still don't see a thaw or warming "period" being shown for around here.

I feel like a broken record saying that for 3 weeks now. Gees.

My wife and I watched a movie about prisoners that escaped from a Russian gulag in Siberia last week, and I told her this morning, as we sat in the house with no power, watching the snow fall that it would be a full sensory experience to watch it again right about now. Especially tonight when it is supposed to dip to zero, or below.
