That's from a large difference in elevation. Cambium's example is just from distance not elevation.

Yes, thanks. How did you do up there in Binghamton?

I should of drove another 2hrs to see this.
9-10 inches of snow in Norfolk, CT (northwest corner of state). Elevation 1400' here.

Current forecast from Environment Canada calls for a high in Edmonton of 13C on January 24. That's a brave call 6 days out since the highest temperature ever recorded in January is 11.7C. We'll see what happens.

Hey, Camby, that area of Norwalk was where my grandparents lived, right off of Silvermine Avenue, two blocks from the tavern!

It was 32F when I rolled in at 3PM from shopping. Light snow started about 4PM. My Dad said they had four inches of snow in Danbury.

This is what the Japanese model has for the month of February. Alaskan ridge alive and well, but Southern US wants to build a ridge. I have a feeling my region will see a very active pattern
