Wanted to throw this out there that I came across from a friend of mine who posted to his FB page. Myself, I wouldn't try to cross when it's like this. It's a long way down if you go over the side.

Sunday Jan 19th 8:59 AM Currently the Mackinac Bridge is experiencing winds of sufficient force in the Straits area to require an escort of certain "high profile" vehicles across the Mackinac Bridge. High profile vehicles include pickup trucks with campers; cars with small boats, bicycles or luggage attached to the roof; Ryder or U-Haul trucks; any vehicle pulling a boat; semi-tractors with enclosed trailers and all trailers with side walls over two feet in height.

Motorists are asked to reduce their speed to 20 miles per hour as they approach the bridge and be prepared to stop. Bridge personnel are stationed at both ends of the structure to provide instructions regarding how and when to proceed across the bridge.

Here's the latest GFS data for near me. Finally some breathable air again. I was raking my lawn today at 35F.

GFS18z says Wednesday morning it will be 4.7°F(15C) and by Wednesday 7pm it will be 8.5°F.
And it Looks like we struggle past the teens Tuesday through Friday.

Latest models coming in more robust. Heads up mid atlantic if that happens. I see a healthy 4-8" swath of snow around Delaware area. I'll check things out in morning.

Winter Storm Watches will go up if Euro and tomm 12z runs show the same.

This is for Tuesday afternoon through the night

37 F and overcast. If only it were 10 F colder, I would consider it a proper winter morning.

Some snow hitting here tomorrow.

Wow, now they're saying snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches here tomorrow. Bad day for it for me. I've got to be on the road.

They do plow the roads there I hope. Here, 3-5" is no biggie. I drive in such conditions regularly. Else, bang governor Christie for "escaping" to Florida like he did in 2010 .

Of course they plow. But with 3-5 inches roads could still be a mess. My evening class could be cancelled if we get upwards of 5 inches, but I'll still likely have to go to work in the morning.
