Seems all of Scandinavia and Northern Europe is having a very mild February.
The 24-hr average here after 14 days of February is 4.1C, very mild. The average daily high must be around 6C.
Coldest temperature/ coldest low in February is -3.1C (Trondheim-Værnes) so far...and not a drop of rain for 35 days.
But we had a low of -16.9C in January.

The mildest absolute low during a winter recorded in Britain (by some way) was -8.3C in 1990, but unless I've missed something the lowest anywhere has had so far this winter was -8.1C in Braemar in November. I can't be bothered checking the data set but the lack of frost here so far must be either a record or very close to it.

An hour north of me in New Fairfield, CT.

Lake frozen over with thick snowpack.

This is in a private community with security guard. Here's a little history on it.

And what does the latest CFSv2 show for the month of March? Basically a continuation of winter with temps 5-6C below average for the Midwest and Northeast....

It won't. But the pattern is changing. It wont happen overnight but the Atlantic ridge will start to shift West helping to bring some southern warmth up the coast.

Here's what Euro12z says for hour156 (Fri Feb 21st Evening) max temps

Impressive.

That windchill may be the lowest officially recorded in Alaska, but it's definitely not the lowest that's occurred or even been recorded. Mt McKinley has likely experienced -100F or lower, and a windchill of -118.1F was recorded by an automated weather station at over 18,000'. Mount McKinley - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
