So long as the high system is upon us, it blocks everything coming for you.

You can get it if you want, I don't mind, but it doesn't just seem to go nowhere.

Last 7 days have been miserable to the core in the 40s/50s.

Our departure went from 9 below normal to now near normal in just 7 days.
Went from 3rd coldest January on record to now not even in Top 30.
Went from a mean of 22.3°F to now 29.6°F.

At this point, a couple of single digit nights and 2 days in the teens is not exciting anymore. Why people are making a big deal about that around here is beyond me!

Here's what the latest EURO shows for the CT coast... Temps... big whoop. Snow... not to be believed. GFS doesn't support it. Canadian is much less.

Current Watches and Warnings for Northeast. Some snow could have heavier bursts. Binghamton area will get the most today

Here's the snow total last 72hrs. Snowed down to Kentucky as you saw the pics yesterday and the mountains of North Carolina too. In fact I see a report of 3 inches now for mtns of NC so some blues should be added to this map later on.

Wisconsin/Michigan did well! Even central Indiana. And more coming

Seems like the area around Stockholm is receiving some sort of lake effect snow. It's been snowing for nearly 24 hours almost non-stop in Stockholm - albeit not very heavily.

I want below freezing highs like true mid winter. Enough with the mild crap.

And FYI media, 27 and overcast is not an arctic blast.
