Our lake effect kicked in again after backing off over night. Calling for 5-9" tonight through tomorrow with higher amounts and wind picking up. Wish there was a nice open field across the road from me rather than a doctors office. Went down to 5F last night and is 12F right now with a wind chill of 0F.

Very cool.

Now.....if you can just get a ladder and hang Christmas lights all over it without disturbing the snow you can get a night shot too.

^^

I'm getting jealous seeing all these snow pics although it is much cooler today than it's been recently. Went in to take a final exam and it was 75 F when I came out it was a much more seasonable 57 F , now it's 50 F and dropping. Supposed to be about 40 F tonight. 33 F Thursday night.

If it gets to -28 F in Minneapolis that would be the coldest temp in a while there. Prob since February 1996.

The -40F predicted on the map would be for the Hayward or Ladysmith area of Wisconsin. Couderay, Sawyer County, holds the state record for the lowest temperature ever recorded at -60F in February, 1996.

It's actually -55 F but yes that part of Wisconsin gets quite cold. Tomahawk, WI is another cold spot.
