I live in Royal Oaks and was broken into a couple of weeks ago. My storage building has been broken into as well.

I'd love to see someone break into my house around lunch time. I'll be there and I won't be really happy to see them

but seriously, it is getting bad out there. bunch of idiots that need to be taken out

If they hit my house and I'm home..they WILL be taken out. My buddies Smith + Wesson live with me.

Probably won't happen while you're home. The scum case out the places usually before they hit them during the day.

they'd probably give up on my house because it's pretty much a revolving door of people. although I've considered placing an invitation on the door for any potential burglars.. I suppose that's not legal though, so I'll make sure and take down the invite before I call the police..

I was wondering that also. The neighbor told me that her neighbor was home and in the shower when the break in happened. The bad guys left when they figured out there was someone home. Didn't ask if they got anything.

That makes sense. Apparently, some folks don't set their alarms when they are home...my wife is a stay at home mom and ALWAYS has the alarm set. Our alarm is monitored as well.
