This is definitely what I think. The focus on SELF has never been higher, or more encouraged by society, and while it might sound nice it's often just an exercise in self indulgence with negative social impacts. Basically I think we're bored and creating new things to keep ourselves amused. It doesn't bode well for our future. Couple that with people who can empower and enrich themselves by taking advantage of all human foibles and really starts to look bad.

They could also have rented a room in a rooming house. The landlady would serve meals in the dining room and do the cleaning and laundry.

My grandmother ran a boarding house from the forties well into the fifties. They paid for a room in her huge Victorian house and she made brown bag lunch for them. I remember helping her make assembly line sandwiches for the men. She also made them dinner.

Men taking away women’s scholarships and their spots on the team, and especially in pro sports where it’s their livelihoods, they’ll be crying what gender they actually are.

A woman’s role is to love, honor and obey her husband.

A man’s role is to provide for and protect his wife and family.

That is pretty much how it’s been to feel like a man or a woman throughout human history.

While I appreciate the humor, it ignores the reality that some men lived on their own, without "women instincts" or "women taking care of them" and survived just fine. And women lived, without men, and survived just fine.
