Germany's prosecutor general, Peter Frank, said in a February 4 newspaper interview that an international judicial process was needed for the conflict in Ukraine, and that his country had started collecting evidence of war crimes in March. The pieces of evidence were in the "three-digit range," he told Welt am Sonntag.

How come "documented internationally" does not include the war crimes committed by Ukraine, the ones that DavidT posted here for example?
Propaganda much?

I believe those were documented by Amnesty International at the time. And those who committed them should be tried. Now how many war crimes are the Ukrainians committing today? They seem to be following international law and the Geneva Convention and if they weren't they would risk losing western support. Things change. Today Russia is committing atrocities on a scale not seen since WW2 and the international community is observing and documenting. What they are doing with these children is unfathomable.

War crimes are being done by Ukraine, but are being ignored.

The West only sees the war crimes that it wants to see and is silent on the ones it doesn't. For example, is there going to be an investigation on war crimes and terrorism on the Nordstrom pipeline that Sy Hersh has brought to light that the US committed, on its own supposed ally? Again, only the "facts" that support the required narrative will see the light of day.

Guess you didn't get the memo. We choose truth over facts now. New York New York and why not since the first one is going so well.

It makes no difference what was going on 500 years ago or 50 years ago.

It's whether you are tough enough now. If Ukrainians are tough enough, and if they have enough backing from their allies, they'll get to have their own nation.

Otherwise, they'll dance to Putin's tune.

That's how it goes.

Ukraine will dance to one tune or another but dance they will.

ISW Update 2/17/23

https://www.understandingwar.org/bac...bruary-17-2023

Quote:
Feb 17, 2023 - Press ISW

The Kremlin will likely subsume elements of Belarus’ defense industrial base (DIB) as part of Moscow’s larger effort to reequip the Russian military to support a protracted war against Ukraine. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on February 17 that Belarus’ aerospace industry is ready to produce Su-25 ground attack aircraft for the Russian military with the support of Russian technology transfers. Lukashenko also stated that the Belarusian state-run Minsk Automobile Plant began producing components to support Russian KAMAZ (a Russian heavy-duty truck producer) products and expressed willingness to help Russia produce electronic components to substitute for lost Western imports. Lukashenko additionally stated that Belarus is implementing 100 percent of unspecified defense and security cooperation agreements that Belarus and Russia agreed to “three months ago.”

No sacrifice is too great to uphold Ukraine. At least that's what I hear from some posters here.
The problem is not the Americans, it is the RUSSIANS.

The meat grinder will continue until the RUSSIAN people demand their leaders act civilized.

The whole of Europe is against them. It is not because everyone in the "collective West" is blind. It is because the Russian leadership are still behaving like it is the 18th century.

Your point of view. However, the majority of the Russian people are with Putin on this. They believe that they are the civilized ones and don't want to be pushed around by the West.
