It really is. Especially when the War on Drugs has done nothing to stop drug abuse.

Look up figures of cocaine use in 1979, and five years later. This is the time war on drugs was declared and when bodies were piling up in Miami cocaine wars. Cocaine use dropped dramatically after the war on drugs begun.

About the only restriction on drug use I could support is requiring users to carry enough insurance to bury them when they overdose. With the freedom to use comes the responsibility for the consequences.

I would let the states decide on this one. but personally I would legalise soft drugs and decriminalize hard drugs.

Do you also require this before people buy booze, or before they fill their Oxy at CVS? How about before they buy cigarettes?

We're killing more people and imprisoning more people than we're helping.

If the concern is to battle addiction, aren't we losing the war?

Is there a bigger factor when it comes to our murder rate in this country? I see people blaming race, blaming guns, etc. Not once have I heard the Drug War mentioned.

American history has shown what ending prohibition can do to crime rates.

here's some new ones with that famous old booze, you know the substance that you drink to get annihilated..!!! well leave it to the teenagers to figure it all out

Instead of protecting the Police, it looks like we as citizens are the ones who need protection.

Even more reason to end the Drug war. Take more power out of the hands of thugs. Wearing badges and not wearing badges.

I think ONLY users should be jailed. I think only Johns should be jailed in prostitution arrests, too. Dry up the customers and the businesses will go away.
