How about this lovely work from another GOP scumbag charging the nation 6.5 million for "drip pans"

This would all be fine, if I were a right winger. I'm a fiscal conservative and I lean more toward libertarian views. I want all wars to end, including the war on drugs. While you (and all party line drones) see everything in red or blue, I see it in purple. Both "sides" are full of $hit, and it's obvious they only care about lining their pockets with OPM. Viet Nam was a democrats war, which killed 60K of our guys, so let's not get all high and mighty when liberals are equally guilty.

You're a right wing conservative Republican. Stop it.

Actually, there are food banks out there that do that and USDA groceries are a part of that deal. I guess they are entitled to EBT cards and the above? Help with utilities are available also.

Everything you've alluded to is basically to go after the military while forgetting everything else.

You asked who the liberals are.....well....the way you turn a blind eye to entitlements while railing against the military....that's a tell-tale sign of liberalism. You may disagree, but you sure are putting up a mighty big defense of the same ideological planks that liberals and Democrats defend against.
Lets see, Food stamps help people to live and eat. Military kills people to expand the Oligarch's "interest". One is pro life, the other pro aggression and death.
When gov't goes after such a small percentage of fraud, which is impossible to eliminate, they are sending a message against the least able in our society.

The food stamp program is administered by the USDA and is $144 Billion. The fraud and abuse you speak of is less than 1/2 of 1 percent (someone please do the math).....

USDA Budget Would Rise 11% on Food-Stamp Spending - Bloomberg

I think a nation like ours can look at the reasons why people need food aid and then make the determination what is best. Unfortunately it doesn't currently work that way.

Gov't shouldn't be doing 90% of what it does... Food aid wouldn't be needed if they'd follow their oath to uphold the Constitution and not bathe in corruption.

Normal people would say that that's a fairly successful program and a pretty low rate of fraud.

"Normal people" being the operative words.
Normal people are pretty rare on C-D P&OC. At least, judging by the Judgy McJudgypants threads we see and the pearl-clutching responses.

It's more expensive to have a food distribution system. That's at least part of the reason the USDA commodities program was discontinued in the first place. Packaging, transportation, storage, administration - these things all contribute to the costs of a program.

My grandparents got the gov't cheese & rice & powdered milk. We loved the cheese; it made the best grilled cheese sandwiches!

But it shouldn't matter what percent of fraud is of the food stamp variety. $750 million a year in fraud is a lot of money. Why can't we address all fraud including this kind? Why makes comparisons to other fraud? Why all the sensitivity about this particular issue in here?

Dude, it's like 1% of the total program!!

Let's compare that with some Pentagon Programs.

No, cuz God Forbid we do that, huh?
Dude, this only ONE program of the many programs.

Let's look at ALL gov't spending.
