Every thumb sucking liberal out there will scream, "The children? What about the children? You can't put Jane in jail. The only person who will suffer are the children. You can't deny her further benefits, because the only person who will suffer are the children."
Boy you nailed it here! This is also the cry of illegal alien supporters. Can't detain and deport the parents because "what about the children"? Make every damned adult pay for their crimes. It is their own fault if their children have to suffer because of them. When did we become a nation of irresponsible, lawbreaking adults using their kids as pawns to keep them out of trouble?

I see you got your instructions on what the insult of the week is.

rep Clyburn used the same word, rape, the other day, so now we will see it for the next few months.

I have to ask....are you...or have you ever been a taxpayer? You seem to not give one damn about how money is spent or wasted. Have you ever contributed? I'm beginning to question your objecitivity because you don't seem to have a vested interest...ie. pay taxes. Or are you just that apathetic by nature?
I'm a taxpayer and I couldn't care less about cracking down on this. You're bringing up the numbers... well does it make sense to spend $30k/year to jail those who are guilty of welfare fraud to stop them from cheating the system out of $900/year?

Right about the time the "safety net" of the social entitlement system replaced the two parent family.

We see it on here every day. "Tax the rich more". They haven't the common sense to realize if the gov't cracked down on waste, fraud and abuse there would be NO need to increase taxes on anyone.

They don't want the gov't to be efficient in any way because they can get more money from the "rich".

Wrong.

But how could that be? The government has tight controls on who can receive benefits how those benefits are distributed, right?

Wrong.

Wait, you mean to tell me that USDA rules prevented states from cracking down on food stamp fraud by mandating that benefits could not be denied, unless fraud was blatant?? You mean that we've been relying on the food stamp desk agent to determine fraud? Yeah right! As if that's going to happen!

Washington taking new steps to combat food stamp fraud | Fox News

Three quarters of a BILLION dollars in food stamp fraud annually, and it just now occurred to our government that perhaps a few rules should be changed???

This is absolutely disgusting! It's time to drop the hammer on the lazy, the losers, the criminals, and the otherwise non-productive members of American society.
Yes, why don't you drop your hammer on the thousands of Military service members and women raising kids from a man that refuses to pay for their chidren that are drawing food stamps, we will sit back and see how well that works out for ya. I will watch the special they will run on your demise on the 11:00 news, let's hope they show all the gory details

I have no problem with cutting out the abuse, but that is not the goal for some here, their goal is to cut out all assistance, there is a major difference.

Instead of trolling try to focus, this is about FRAUDULENT use of foodstamp benefits, not those who actually need them and are not commiting fraud.

Anyone commiting fraud with foodstamps should be booted off the system permanently.

Here qwe go again, "in an illegal war".

I know, I know, actions voted on and passed by our duly elected Congress is an illegal war.

And some wonder why our country is in such bad shape.

I wouldn't expect a response to this since the cognitive dissonance would be too great.

The big three in terms of our federal budget is and will remain Medicare, Social Security, and the Military. All of these other cuts/fraud are just window dressing.
