Nope, it's all funny money. There is no moral basis in America. I'm defrauded every second of every day. Due to the FED and the pansy asses in the US gov't that sell their souls for a job, perks and power.
I think that food fraud is nothing more than a revolving door to our grocery stores, growers markets and helps more than hurts.
This country is on a course of insolvency, regardless of this measly 750 million.

Regarding the totality of our national circumstances, I certainly agree with you. But come on. Are we really to the point that we as a nation accept fraud, waste, and abuse as the normal course of tax dollar stewardship? If that's the case, then no wonder we're headed over the fiscal cliff. It seems we could care less.
Yes AeroGuyDC, fraud is bad. I would like the government to help take steps in eliminating the fraud in the food stamp program.

While I am not supporting abuse of the system, the military spent how much in an illegal war killing mostly innocent people over in Iraq? Nearly a trillion I believe

Stop the food stamp program all together. Put together a food bank, that has nutritious foods, fruits veggies, etc etc, and then allow people who need the help, to come and get food. That way the government gets to buy the food in bulk, pay lower prices, and distribute the food to people who need to, cutting out supermarkets making a profit, and cutting out most of the fraud, Unless someone wants to get and sell veggies and hamburger that they just got to feed their own family, it should cut out a lot of the fraud.

This would be staffed primarily by people receiving food stamps also. Divide up all the jobs and hours, and spread it equally amongst people receiving benefits. That way their time will cover some of the benefits, and we reduce the wages the government has to spend on setting this all up.

O'Dumbo Care was flatly rejected by the American people. Congress and this dope of a leader gave us all the middle finger.
They will continue to do this, because they don't care what the people think.
They have no sense of freedom, it's a Military police state for the lot of us, and there is no turning back.

The point is, they don't want to. The oligarch's divide and conquer. Globalists gut the US people's power and take it for their own.

It would seem public outrage finally catches the attention of the White House. Of course this is a campaign opportunity since this administration didn't give a dip about the fraud before but only sought to sign up ans many onto foodstamps as possible.

It's encouraging that fraud is being looked at. The other question is what percentage of cases of fraud were actually prosecuted? Everyone that "cheats" this way is flat out stealing from the taxpayer and from those in legitimate need. They need to be arrested and jailed to discourage this. We can start with anyone that sells an EBT card for cash, or anyone that has bought one and uses it.

You catch Jane (yes, sorry women, it usually is the woman) fraudulently getting welfare (includes it all, food stamps, Section 8, et al). You complete an investigation and it goes to the district attorney. 99% of the time, the district attorney declines to prosecute. Why?
Every thumb sucking liberal out there will scream, "The children? What about the children? You can't put Jane in jail. The only person who will suffer are the children. You can't deny her further benefits, because the only person who will suffer are the children."
Let them eat cake? Are you kidding? How about we tackle ALL sources of fraud, waste, and abuse instead of hedging because you feel sorry for people? And why are you feeling sorry for people who defraud you? Shouldn't you actually detest these people for defrauding you out of your hard-earned money?
There is no reasoning with these liberal loons. They will deflect anything that goes against their agenda. I am with you we do need to tackle all sources of fraud but why are they getting upset over starting a topic about this particular fraud? I don't hate poor people either and have nothing against helping the truly needy who have made responsible decisions in their lives but somehow have arrived at this point. That doesn't excuse fraud within the system however and it should be addressed.
