Tell you what, i'll join you in your protest. But first, lets cut the Pentagon budget in half. Then i'll be an anti-food stamp warrior standing right next to you.

Deal?

Of course not. Because that stuff isn't waste to you, is it?
Is there anyone on the planet other than you that surmises that the United States Military could operate effectively on 50% less funding?

I have stated many times that ALL sources of fraud, waste, and abuse are in my crosshairs. But I don't relegate myself to the loony bin by demanding the same cuts to the welfare program that you and your cohorts make to the military. Do you folks realize how foolish you sound?

Some people need them, some don't deserve them.

But 750 million is a relatively small number when considered with the rest of the budget. Much more abuse of the military budget, for instance. Let's stay focused on the big fish.
Yeah, I know a good amount of people on welfare who work just as hard as people who do not get them. I remember , during my teen years, meeting an accountant who lived in the projects. Really freaked me out.

Says the guy who started a thread about Hispanic women taking their children to McDonald's?

No one here is defending the fraud. And everyone seems to think it's good that it's being investigated. I'm just kind of shocked that fraud only accounts for 1% of the total program budget. That's surprisingly low. I can tell you now that the private sector would kill for such a low percentage when it comes to program and project management.

That's not what the thread was about. You know this, so why do you intentionally distort?

Regarding the 1%, I don't think it's very wise to hang your hat on the $750M number. That's what they report, yes, because that's what they know about. But is it reasonable to assume that the government has a finger on the pulse of the entire food stamp fraud market? Not my from vantage point.

Wrong.

But how could that be? The government has tight controls on who can receive benefits how those benefits are distributed, right?

Wrong.

Wait, you mean to tell me that USDA rules prevented states from cracking down on food stamp fraud by mandating that benefits could not be denied, unless fraud was blatant?? You mean that we've been relying on the food stamp desk agent to determine fraud? Yeah right! As if that's going to happen!

Washington taking new steps to combat food stamp fraud | Fox News

Three quarters of a BILLION dollars in food stamp fraud annually, and it just now occurred to our government that perhaps a few rules should be changed???

This is absolutely disgusting! It's time to drop the hammer on the lazy, the losers, the criminals, and the otherwise non-productive members of American society.
Insignificant and meaningless! If you really want to see fraud, take Medicare ... Once they find you out, you get to be a Governor, Re: Rick Scott in Fla.

How many more liberals will we have on this thread who try to equivocate other instances of fraud with that of the topic of the OP?

Why aren't you railing about ALL instances of fraud, waste, and abuse? Have you ever paid taxes in your life? If so, how can you be so apathetic?

I'm not saying we shouldn't fix everything, but its like an old house, when the roof is falling in, you don't worry about the leaky faucet.

Welfare Fraud Still Plagues California | CalWatchDog

The Peoples Republik of Kalifornia. The liberal socialists dream. ONE of the MAJOR reasons it is falling apart is because of its totally unrealistic socialist ideals. Many people on this thread continue to push for this ideal. Of course they want it. They want government sponsored healthcare, child care, welfare, and their "social safety net." All so THEY don't have to work for it and/or work as hard for it. Yes they want it, they just want someone else to pay for it.

That's exactly what we are seeing in the bright red states in the south, rednecks leeching off the system refusing to work, wanting all their handouts, but want everyone else to pay for it. The productive class, the democrats in the democratic states are the ones mainly flipping the bill.
