For "normal" service I tip 20%, and for great service I tip 30%, so, often I will pay $130. If our server is waiting on three tables during the same hour we are eating, then they are making their low base rate plus our $30 plus similar (or maybe slightly lower) tips from the other tables. I know when I was a food delivery driver there were nights I would leave with $200+ in tips. Many service-sector workers net more than I do working in public safety, so I don't understand why people are having trouble securing lucrative employment at the moment.
