Just to bring this thread down several dozen notches, things conspired last night that pretty much precluded anything but a fast food dinner due to getting out of work very late. Much to my dismay, the Wendy's closest to me (Mt. Lebanon Blvd.) Yet there are two equidistant McD's that are still open. I do not understand how that's possible.

Wendy's is my crack and that is the closest one to my house as well. The service was always so bad and it was always so dirty to me, I started going to the new one on West Lib. The Coke Freestyle machine makes it worth it. I also feel classy eating my greasy burger next to a fireplace.

I wish there was no smoking in those places, but they are usually filled with smoke. I do like the prices, but we aren't talking about anything but fuzzy yellow beer in such places. I don't mind an Iron now and again though. Better than many of the basic beers out there now that it is made out in a clean water area.

Must've been a long while since you've been as many clubs have top and bottom shelf liquor along with 3,4,5 beers on tap, along with 10 or more varieties in bottles/cans.

Try Willee's in Pine-Richland, cheap beer, good bar food, and an enclosed area for smoking. And like every dive bar in Pgh, it has The Best Fish Sandwich in Town.

This seems like a possible thread to ask this question. ( My laziness is probably going to be revealed) When we last lived here in the 'burgh, we once had dinner at a delightfully quaint and delicious small restaurant in the South Side( real old style Italian). I haven't really researched for its existence or name recently but thought I'd ask if anyone knows the name and could say if it is still in existence. It had an odd name, that I cannot immediately recall.

No I do not think that sounds correct, but thank you so much. Since I wrote my question above, I have been giving it some thought and utensils keep coming up...but I just googled fork and spoon and knife and all I found was something in East Liberty and I am certain that it was in the South Side and Spoon doesn't seem like it is/was an Italian place. It was in a house if I recall or at least a building that once was a house. Thank you, again PghYoPro!

Here is to thought association and hopefully saving anyone from wasting kind effort to help me. I just decided to pursue it and thought of plate then dish and voila. It is Dish and it is still in existence. Thanks to this topic/thread that motivated me to search this morning.
