I have the chef's tasting menu at the Twisted Frenchman, last night. It might be the best meal I've eaten in Pittsburgh. The steak tartare was served on a Chestnut, foie gras purée, and featured escargot caviar (which I didn't know existed until last night) and shaved truffles.

That place is shooting up to the upper reaches of my 'go-to' list.

Had dinner tonight at Kevin Sousa's Superior Motors. It was delicious. The place was packed. From the looks of it, it's going to be a huge success.

Success is going to be tough to judge until after the initial hype wears off. May I ask how you got a reservation, especially a weekend one? My wife and I tried to book a time and there are only very late night times (9:45 PM) available for the entire 30-day booking window. We tried to make the reservation last Sunday, only a day after they opened.

Is the menu posted online anywhere?

Good to hear. I have reservations for Saturday, August 5th and can’t wait. My families Pgh roots run through Braddock and have been patiently waiting.

eschaton...there does not seem to be a menu on the website.

Could you snap a photo of it, host it somewhere and post it on this thread? I would like to see it as well. I hope the restaurant does really well and is there for many years to come.

This place sounds great. Thanks for your review. I'll put it on the list. Love steak tartare and foie gras, so you got me going with that. I also love tasting menus where the chef brings what they want to you. The place sounds really good.

I should have checked before posting, bit is a pic of the menu on Yelp. I will check in two weeks when I go and see if it is the same.

Okay, I saw the menu. Looks great and nice and small, which is always a good sign. Can't stand huge menus because that is a sign of doing too many things not very good. Small menus mean more focus on each dish.

I read reviews and on open table it seems a lot of people say it is much too loud with rap music. That part doesn't sound appealing at all and might keep me away. Not a fan of loud when dinning in a better place.
