So my friend gets this brilliant idea for me, her and another friend to stay at a hotel in our area to get away. Here I am trying to coordinate and she does not have any cell phone minutes, only texting. I have a basic cell phone with a basic keyboard and It's driving me nuts trying to text back and forth when a simple phone call would save us time.
^^^ FYI I think there is a way to text someone’s cell phone from your PC online. I can’t remember the website but I’m sure if a person googles “text message a cell from a pc” it will show several websites. Or maybe someone out there also knows the answer for this situation and can help.
I used it one time when my sister was traveling and I needed to get a text message to her cell phone and I don’t like using my cell for doing that. It’s too hard as you said when there’s no keypad of then ten digits.

I'll check it out ... We finally after so many text messages got our plans together. I used to be able to email her phone but that doesn't work and I need to find out what the address is to email her at.

If you use yahoo or msn you can send sms messages to someones cell phone and receive them as well. I use that to send my gal text messages, much easier if home. You don't have to know their email or have them on your list to send someone an sms message.

I just had a phone call at work from someone wanting to know if I knew anyone who installed countertops. Of course I was honest and said yes. Through the course of the conversation, after it was too late to change my response, it came out that he had already purchased his countertop from some other business and was looking for someone to install it. I wanted to say, "Get recommendations from the store where you bought the thing.", but I guess that just isn't the type of customer service I was brought up to provide.
(maybe he will come buy from us the next time.) I just don't think I would have the nerve to call a store and ask for installation referrals if I had bought the product somewhere else.
people who call all hours of the day and night but refuse to leave
a message... wasted steps on my part to get to the phone
LEAVE A MESSAGE...I don't have caller ID!!!!!!!!!!!
and another thingeople who leave their dogs out all night to bark,
are they deaf and can't hear them???
