this was the case even before all this. they wouldnt even commit to saying youd get Tier 3 if you got Tier 2.
that was my experience, at least.

and i'm sure the ESC IT people are doing what they can and are nice people and all, but cmon, theyre ESC IT. where would they fall on the IT spectrum? if youre really adept at IT, are you employed at the ESC? uh, no.

tis is better to give no info than the wrong info. but, thats not my case. i get the wrong info all the time. I waited a week for a phone call from the WRONG person/WRONG department because of the wrong info.

The NCESC has NO CLUE how to correct this problem from an IT standpoint.

For the past week and a half, they've been taking weeks and benefits away from claimants...shifting their claims every which way. In steps Bev and the NCESC conveniently when this became a national story, and they commit total damage control with their, "Don't worry, we're not actually going to make you pay those benefits back silly...we'll find some other way of coming up with that money. You just sit tight, we'll throw up a FAQ (which is totally inaccurate) and we'll get this taken care of."

A weekend goes by, and today we learn that Bev is sending IT experts in to try and help out with the problems plaguing the agency. What does that translate to? It means, the NCESC and their IT tried to figure out this mess over the weekend, with claims way out of whack and no real direction on how to get the claims back to where they were. So they talked to Bev today or Sunday and said, "Uhhhhhhhh, we got a mess and I don't think this is going to be an easy fix, we have no clue what to do." So Bev sends a team of IT experts down there to assist in figuring out what the heck they're going to do.

It makes total sense. jdljr always said that there's no reason a rep can't just pull up your claim right away and tell you where you are and where you stand almost immediately. I've gone through two phone calls today with reps that won't or can't look at my claim, as if they were told not to give away all the details of the claim because nothing has been done to fix it since they don't know HOW to fix it. That's probably why I was told to call them "in a couple days". So they're probably told to just brush'em off as nicely as possible as we figure out how to fix the problem that we knew about 9 months ago and ignored.

It makes alot of sense. I actually feel bad for some of these reps that don't even have the simple answers.
ACTUALLY i dont know why u r getting reps that cant help
i mean i was called back saturday
and called 2 X today
and all 3 of those reps were able to help me and all 3 gave me the same amount of benefits listed in their screens?
I dont know what is up

ALSO from the wording of the article, i assume that the IT people being sent to ESC are not there to fix it, BUT to look into WHO DID WHAT and WHO is to blame for this

Look further down the page, do u have an EB Date listed? if so check the effective date
it MAY show EB starting this monday
in which case u need to call in and have them adjust the dates
AND if no payment still shows
call them and ask why

i DO know others like me, who APPEAR to be fixed at least, got full payments again and seem to have funds in the accounts, BUT who knows HOW MANY Esc has been able to fix yet
i might just be lucky
OR i might have to be fixed AGAIN in a few days

OR sorry kids.. no, we can't get out the house because I have no gas because I didn't get my check" Those situations are happening... and 90 percent of the time, it's not our fault why we're unemployed.
And it might be getting more worse since the NCESC and Bev did their damage control (when the story grew legs) by saying we will be able to draw benefits next week (which is now this week). My payment for this week is processing...but is it coming out of Tier 4 EUC or EB? What if it comes out of EB, and they figure out in three days, that should've been EUC? Or if they do what CA11 says may have happened and just tacked on an extra 6 or so weeks to EB, when EB can only legally go up to 20? Can they even do that? I'm sure these are questions coming up down there...and it becomes an even bigger problem when IT steps in and says, "I'm not sure what you're asking us to do AND I don't even know how we'd even start."

It shows effective date 9/26/10, which i got a payment for. so im at a lost. the people at esc(local office) said that is not what they are seeing on their screen.

I'm just saying, perhaps your claim had already been adjusted and it shows what they believe to be a correct amount of benefits and weeks (until they decide to change it again in a few days). When they see my claim (which hasn't been adjusted as much as yours), it sounds like they see a big mess and have been instructed by their supervisors to not give alot of info on those messed up claims.

It did say "investigators" at one point, which led me to believe someone was going to get chewed out and they were going to try and uncover why this happened. But they then went out of their way to change the wording from investigators to IT experts. That just screams to me that they wanted to make it sound like an investigation, but instead it's just going to be a team of IT guys helping them sort out this mess.

ACTUALLY i was told that the # is going back onto EB since the STATE took back the $
and EB is a state funded program so thats where they put it back on....
sort of like
WE CANT PUT IT ON A TIER since those are federally funded so the ONLY program we can stick it back on is a state program---thus EB
