Nothing of what you have said so far supports the thread topic in any way. Just about everyone agrees that they are on equal footing in terms of price when it comes to vehicles you actually see driven on the street and Audi is world renowned for their interior quality. I prefer Audi to Mercedes although there's a BMW in my garage.

People get too busy figuring why someone is driving a Mercedes and that's why "many" people buy Mercedes. To get the attention. Its the same with BMW and Audi, although in differing capacities.

Remember, I said "many" people. Not Everyone.

I personally drive a entry level Mercedes - which is the C class. But it's a C63AMG with every option possible which essentially puts it right next to the S class pricing.

I liked it that way - I paid for it - I worked for it and its available legally in the US. I pay the gas guzzler tax on it, and I understand the pros and cons of the car. Its basically people, who get intrigued by other folks rides, who have issues with them.

If I wanted to show-off I would have bought a S550.

Not Bragging.

There's more than that. Read over his other posts and you'll see he really has no idea about financial issues.

Or pretty much anything else, for that matter.

I'm not really rich but I have owned 3 MB's. I'm really debating on getting another one.

I agree-if you aren't driving a Bugatti as your everyday driver, you're really not THAT rich..

Very true, MBs & BMWs are as common around here as Toyotas & Hondas.

Very generalized statement and not true. Over the last two issues my favorite auto rag has featured at least four new vehicles north of the $100k mark, two of which surpass the $200k mark.

If you can get over not having equity in a depreciating asset, it's a great deal. I look at leasing like renting a car, but at a much cheaper rate!
It may not be called a down payment but there are costs associated with getting a lease vehicle. Granted you can have those costs rolled into the payment but it will significantly increase the payment.

The same reason many buy SUVs.

If poor people drive Audis then I guess I'm not poor after all. I'm several steps below poor.

(For what it's worth, my boss drives an Audi and she's a millionaire.)
